DR. GARRIE W. MOORE is founder and Chief Executive Director of The Center for Science Technology and Leadership Development. Dr. Moore has been responsible for a broad range of programs/services to enhance student life on the college Campus which encompass developing educational programs that support student matriculation within the North Carolina Community College System, The University of North Carolina System and The City University of New York (CUNY) System and beyond.

He has worked as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs for the City University of New York (CUNY) System. In this capacity he served as a member of the Chancellor’s cabinet and oversaw all programs and services for over 400,000 students. At the top of his priorities were the development of a System-Wide Leadership Academy (which today serves as a key signature of the CUNY system), Health Services, Counseling Services, Disability Support Services, Student Governance, Career Development, International Student Services, and Veteran Affairs. Dr. Moore has over 20 years experience in the North Carolina Community College System, having worked at Pitt Community College where he served as Instructor, Department Head, and Dean of Students. Additionally, he has over 12 years experience working in the University of North Carolina System, at East Carolina University, where he served as Vice Chancellor and Associate Provost. He was also a tenured faculty in the School of Allied Health.
