The Bethel Youth Activity Center warmly welcomes all youth in the Pitt County School System, with a special focus on those in Bethel and neighboring communities. Our commitment to a safe and supportive environment is unwavering. While our capacity is limited to 20-25 youth per classroom, we offer an array of engaging activities beyond standard schoolwork and tutoring. From special STEM programs and Parent Homeschooling seminars to our renowned Medical Academy, Drone Camps, and Summer Camps, BYAC aims to enrich young minds.

Our dedicated team of seasoned professionals is passionate about student success. Our STEM courses are guided by experts from Pitt County Schools, Pitt Community College, and East Carolina University, with consultative support from prestigious institutions such as the Brody School of Medicine, ECU Dental School, and Vidant Medical Center. In January 2021, we introduced a special reading initiative called ‘BLOOM BOX’ from ECU, providing one-on-one reading tutoring and group sessions.

Furthermore, we proudly collaborate with other nonprofits like Michael’s Angels Girls Club in Edgecombe County and STEM East in Beaufort County, pooling resources to strengthen our diverse range of programs and services.

CSTLD’s funding comes from grants, gifts and special initiatives/projects.  There is no cost to families or youth for our programs/services.
